About Us

Who we are

Saw & Steel, LLC is the result of a hobby and passion, that became a business. 

We are a husband and wife team who love custom furniture and decor. While we both have degrees in other fields (e.g. nursing and psychology) and maintain other jobs, Saw & Steel provides us an opportunity to spend more time with each other and our two amazing children. 

Saw & Steel, LLC is partially a result of my husband making me gifts for my birthday's, our anniversaries, and Christmas'. This has included everything from wine racks, tables, chairs, picture frames, and other decor. Now we have a home filled with handcrafted, one-of-a-kind furniture. Essentially, everything is a discussion piece.

It wasn't until December 2013 when we began talking about creating this business. This was a result of my husband making a custom metal LOVE sign for one of my Christmas gifts. After posting pictures of it on my social media accounts, we discovered there was a lot of interest from others. So, I figured that it was time to let everyone else enjoy his work. 

Now, we have the opportunity to work together. I can bring him an idea and with little to no experience making the item, he can perfectly construct it. He always seems to amaze me!

Our goal is to grow Saw & Steel, LLC so we can do less of our day time jobs and focus more on our creative sides. More importantly spend more time with each other and our kiddos.

What we try to do

Saw & Steel, LLC attempts to use materials that are reclaimed, re-purposed or recycled, as much as possible. We also attempt to purchase and use materials that are sustainable and recyclable. 

We attempt to minimize waste from all of our projects. We do so by saving left overs, cutoffs and scraps of a reasonable size, for future use on other projects. Sometimes, those materials become inspiration for new one-of-a-kind pieces.
